Windows Update, BITS, Security Center Service, Windows Defender is missing on Registry (services.msc)

Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings

Download the registry files (You can also export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\BFE from another working Win7 PC)


1.    1055.BFE.reg



Launch and import them to registry

-Restart your PC

-Now,open RUN and type

-regedit and click OK

-go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\BFE

(Basic Filtering Engine)

-Right click on it-permissions

-Click on ADD and type

-Everyone and click OK

-Now Click on Everyone

-Below you have permission for users

-Select full control and click OK

-Now,open RUN and type services.msc and click OK

start base filtering engine service and then windows firewall service 

If still issue persists

Windows could not start Windows Firewall on local Computer

Download and launch this key

Shared access

Click YES when you get a UAC prompt

Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SharedAccess

Right click on it -permissions

Click on Add and type

Everyone and select Full control

Now it will work

NEW FOLDER OPTION MISSING WINDOWS 7

The issue should be caused by damaged or incorrect registry key entry. Please check the following registry value:

1. Click Start, type regedit in Search Bar, and then click regedit in the Programs list.
Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.

2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\New\

3. Please check if the value for (Default) is: {D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719}

If the issue persists after changing the registry key value, please continue to try the following suggestions:

1. Click Start, type regedit in Search Bar, and then click regedit in the Programs list.
Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.

2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder

3. Right click on the Folder key on the left pane, and then select "Export" to backup this registry key.
4. Go to my Skydrive and download folderfix.zip file.
5. Save the folderfix.zip file on to your Desktop.
6. Right click and extract the folderfix.reg file.
7. Right click on the folderfix.reg file and then click Merge.

8. Click Yes to confirm the modification.

Remove OEM branding from Windows - AD




But you can also change the logo and use your own:
Hit the Windows key.


-Type regedit and press enter.
-Navigate to the following path in the registry:




HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ OEMInformation

Now adjust the Logo and Manufacturer key values to point to your own picture.
