proxy server is not responding windows 8

Solution 1:
If you are not using the Proxy server then I suggest you to disable proxy settings. Follow these steps
Under "Tools" in the browser tool bar select "Internet Options".
In the "Internet Options" window that pops up, click the "Connections" tab at the top.
Click "LAN Settings" near the bottom of the "Connections" section.
If the "Proxy server" checkbox is marked with a check, click it to deselect/uncheck it.
Click "Ok" to close the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings" window.
Click "Ok" to close the "Internet Options" window.

Solution 2:

1. Upgrade to a newer version of Internet Explorer.

2. Reset Internet Explorer

I would suggest you to perform Internet Explorer Optimization on your computer.

Go to run and type "inetcpl.cpl" then you will see internet properties then go to "advanced" tab and click on Reset.
it will give you prompt that really you want to perform this action Click Yes then your browser will be reset.

Disclaimer: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites.

3. Check your Internet connection

4. Disable add-on

While browser add-on can enhance your online experience, they can occasionally interfere or conflict with other software on your computer.

If disabling  add-ons  solves the  problem, you  might want  to use Manage  add-ons . To disable  all add-ons  which is not required.
